Synopsis
Every morning, Roy starts his day in front of his mother’s vanity, wearing a purple hair roller.
Deeply wishing to mirror every gesture and word of the person he loves most, Roy decides to surprise her with the ultimate act of kindness: doing the laundry by himself.
However, his innocent plan quickly spirals into a chaotic flood, turning the living room into a sea of white bubbles.
When his mother opens the door, she is met with something unexpected—not a mess, but a magnificent 'Soap Sculpture of Herself,' carefully crafted by Roy's tiny paws.
In that shimmering bubble, she discovers Roy’s true heart: "Mom, I love you this much."
Artistic Direction
The visual language of this book focuses on tactile warmth. Using soft, grainy textures and a gentle pastel palette, I aimed to evoke the cozy feeling of a puppy’s fur and the comforting scent of home.
Each page is designed to lead the reader’s eye through Roy’s innocent perspective, culminating in the "Bubble Sculpture" scene—a visual climax where light and foam merge to create a moment of pure, emotional magic.
